AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is excited ahead of tonight's big derby against Inter Milan.
The former Chelsea ace has kicked off the season in superb style.
“I'm really excited to be part of a fixture like this and I know how much it means to the fans," he said. “That's why you want to put on a good performance for the fans and the club and you want to win the game.
“These are the games you want to play in as a footballer. You don't want to play in the games that don't mean anything, the friendlies, it's the games that have the most weight, the most pressure on your shoulders that you want to play in."
He also said: “Inter had a really good season last season and I think their confidence is high as well, starting the season very well," Loftus-Cheek warned, before adding: “I think it will be a really good game and the fact that we've started so well as well, it comes at a perfect time. The atmosphere will be huge and it's a great game to be a part of."
Loftus-Cheek, on settling in, added: “Fikayo [Tomori] was a lot of help, coming from Chelsea, knowing him from so young, he helped me understand what it's like to play for Milan.
“Puli [Christian Pulisic] coming over as well, having them here does help you settle in a lot more quickly. I'm really grateful that we're on the same team again."Read on m.allfootballapp.com
