Alexis Mac Allister has claimed that Mohamed Salah and Kostas Tsimikas are the strongest players in the Liverpool squad - overlooking Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk.
But it wasn't all good news for the 'Greek Scouser' - with Mac Allister jokingly branding him the "most annoying" too.
In his six years at Anfield, Salah has established himself as a model pro and is regularly posting on social media his pre and post-match gym recovery. Tsimikas, however, is a surprise shout from the Argentine - especially with the Red boasting imposing figures like Van Dijk and Konate in their squad.
When asked by Goal.com about the Reds' strongest player to face in training, Mac Allister replied: “I would say Mo [Salah], or [Kostas] Tsimikas."
"He’s all day in the gym," added Mac Allister of Salah. "So he is very strong.”
But in a post on his Instagram Story last night, Mac Allister uploaded an image of himself looking unimpressed by a funny face Tsimikas was pulling and teasingly wrote: "The most annoying guy in the world", accompanied by a couple of emojis.
Mac Allister has only been at Liverpool since June but has enjoyed a strong start to life at Anfield, with Liverpool having won four of their opening five games in the Premier League. The Reds stand as one of four sides in the division who are currently yet to taste defeat, with West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City completing the pack.
On Saturday at Molineux, though, Mac Allister endured the most difficult afternoon of his Reds career to date as he was substituted at half time with Liverpool trailing Wolverhampton Wanderers.
