Arsenal fans have been praising the signing of Leandro Trossard over Mykhailo Mudryk after this weekend's Premier League action.
The Belgian winger, who signed from Brighton in January for £27million, has had a stellar start to life at the Emirates, summed up by him scoring the only goal in the 1-0 win over Everton on Sunday.
The Gunners had initially looked to sign Ukrainian winger Mudryk in the winter window, but had the move hijacked by London rivals Chelsea.
However, the £88.5m man hasn't been able to provide Chelsea with the firepower Blues fans would have hoped for, providing two assists in all competitions since joining despite netting 10 goals for Shakhtar Donetsk in the first half of last season.
Whilst Trossard scored a stunning goal on Merseyside, Mudryk struggled to make an impact in a frustrating 0-0 draw against Bournemouth that saw the Blues booed off for a second game in a row.
Now, Arsenal fans are all saying the same thing about missing out on signing the 22-year-old, stating Trossard was the better January signing all along.
«Trossard vs Mudryk is a done case,» one wrote on X.
«Trossard was meant to be 'settling for less' as they missed out with Mudryk but it seems it is the best option at the moment,» another said.
A third added: «New season and still Trossard makes an impact before Mudryk.»
Mudryk attempted three crosses at the Vitality Stadium, but was unable to deliver any of them, as well as losing three of his attacking duels.
Speaking after the game, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino gave an honest review of his winger's current form, stating he still needed to 'learn'.
