Axel Disasi fires Chelsea teammates urgent demand as Mauricio Pochettino encounters major issue

Axel Disasi has demanded that his Chelsea teammate be 'killers' in front of goal following a disappointing result against Bournemouth at the weekend. The Cherries held Mauricio Pochettino's side to a goalless draw at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with the Blues misfiring again.

Chelsea also failed to find the net in a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge before the international break. Disasi believes that, while the west Londoners have been unfortunate this season, his side have also lacked ruthlessness in the final third.

«We have to keep going in this way but be more killers in the opponents’ box,» said Disasi. «We created many chances so we have to keep doing this but we have to kill the opponent.

»When we see the game [again], I think we [will realise we] deserved to win. We didn’t score so the feeling is a little bit sad. That’s football. We have to keep going because I think we are performing on the pitch but just have to kill the opportunities when we have them."

Nicolas Jackson is just one of several Chelsea stars who have struggled to find the net, scoring just once so far this term. The 22-year-old missed a gilt-edged opportunity against Forest before failing to find the net on the south coast.

Speaking after the Blues' draw with Bournemouth, Pochettino was quizzed on Jackson's misfortunes. The Blues boss said: «Because he's a striker and he needs to score. He is disappointed and frustrated, when something happens sometimes he complains, and today the rule about complaining to the referee is directly a yellow card. It's a rule and we need to accept it.»
