Bukayo Saka and David Raya have both voiced their frustrations with Arsenal 's result against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon. The Gunners took the lead in the 26th minute of what was a thoroughly entertaining match at the Emirates Stadium.
Saka's shot deflected off Spurs defender Cristian Romero, with the goal eventually going down as an own goal because the 22-year-old's effort appeared to be going wide before coming off the Argentine international. The away side then equalised shortly before half-time through Son Heung-min, who provided a deft flick from a pinpoint James Maddison cutback.
Saka gave his side the lead again after the break, converting a penalty after Romero was adjudged to have handled the ball in the penalty area before Son scored just one minute later, with the match ending two goals apiece. After the full-time whistle, the Hale End academy graduate took to social media, admitting that a draw was not the result he and his teammates were after.
«This is never just another fixture,» the talented youngster wrote on Instagram. «Disappointed we couldn’t get all 3 points for you today Gunners (Frustrated emoji).»
Gunners goalkeeper Raya posted a similar message as well, voicing his disappointment on the same platform. The Spanish international said: «Not the result we wanted to take away from the NLD.
»We learn and we go again. COYG." The fact that Mikel Arteta's side were so disappointed with a draw speaks volumes to their aims this season, clearly desperate to win the Premier League title, a trophy that the club have not won since the iconic 2003/04 Invincibles campaign.
