Coleraine boss Oran Kearney believes Andy Mitchell’s extra training to gain sharpness following a long-term injury is paying dividends after netting in Saturday’s home win against Newry City.
The striker came off the bench to net a decisive third for Coleraine as the Bannsiders sealed a 3-1 victory against City, with Josh Carson and Matthew Shevlin on target before Lee Newell halved the deficit for the visitors.
It marked Coleraine’s first win at the seventh attempt in all competitions, and Kearney is glad to see Mitchell proving his worth after a frustrating time with setbacks during his time at The Showgrounds.
