Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly trying to convince David de Gea to sign for Al Nassr.
De Gea is a free agent after his acrimonious Manchester United exit in July.
The 32-year-old agreed a new deal with the Red Devils before it was retracted by the club and his 12-year career at Old Trafford subsequently ended with the expiry of his contract.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid were both linked with the Spain shot-stopper during the summer transfer window, while clubs from Saudi Arabia and Qatar remain interested.
According to 90min, ex-Man United teammate Ronaldo is playing an active role in Al Nassr's pursuit of De Gea.
However, it is understood the Spaniard is keen to settle in his homeland with new wife Edurne Garcia.
The long-term couple married earlier this summer and, according to the Daily Mail, they will not consider Saudi Arabia until all other options have been exhausted.
It has even been suggested De Gea could retire if a top club does not offer him the opportunity to become their first-choice goalkeeper.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, scored his eight and ninth goals of the Saudi Pro League season during Al Nassr's 4-3 victory over Al Ahli on Friday.
Franck Kessie and Riyad Mahrez were among the scorers for the losing side.
