Mikel Arteta was forced to rotate his Arsenal starting XI in the Carabao Cup third round victory against Brentford on Wednesday night. The Gunners made eight changes to the side that drew 2-2 against Tottenham in the North London Derby on Sunday.
Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka were left out of the matchday squad to face Brentford after sustaining injuries against Spurs. Rice is currently recovering from a back injury, whilst Saka limped off towards the end of the game at the Emirates Stadium.
