Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has tipped one player to unlock his full potential and has given his verdict on the club’s title hopes.
After a disappointing start to last season, which ultimately cost them a place in the Champions League, the Reds have ensured not to make the same mistake twice. Jurgen Klopp’s side were briefly top of the table after their late win at Wolves on the weekend and have won four of their five opening games.
That is not to say it has been a smooth road for the Reds, so far. Liverpool received back-to-back red cards in their hard-fought wins over Bournemeouth and Newcastle, as well as being forced to field a makeshift back four in their dramatic comeback over Wolves on Saturday.
Overcoming early setbacks could be viewed as proof that the Reds have the quality to challenge for the title, when back to full strength, Hamann disagrees, though, and suggests that Liverpool’s weakness against a certain type of opponent will allow Manchester City to win the league for a record-breaking fourth year in row.

However, he does expect Darwin Nunez to emerge as the Reds’ match-winner on more than one occasion.
“I'd have to rule out a serious title bid. Things can change quickly, but I'd like to see a bit more from this Liverpool side,” Hamann told NeueOnlineCasinos. “Things might look good on paper, but a lot of Liverpool's struggles come from being unable to break teams down.
