Erik ten Hag booed by Manchester United fans over Rasmus Hojlund decision
Erik ten Hag was dealt a chorus of boos after replacing Rasmus Hojlund with Anthony Martial against Brighton.
Manchester United were in desperate need of a miracle after going two down to Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Hojlund made his full debut for the Red Devils and even had the goal in the net before VAR chalked it off.
But Ten Hag decided enough was enough with over 20 minutes to go and brought the £72million man off for Martial.
And the home fans were not pleased, as boos rang around Old Trafford directed at the decision.
Ten Hag has made some bold decisions in recent times, not least the one to exile Jadon Sancho from the squad.
A disagreement between the two led to the Dutch coach telling Sancho to apologise, which he refused to do.
And it has led to the winger being told to train away from the group while Antony has also been given extended leave after allegations of abuse, which he denies.
There is a brewing toxic atmosphere at Old Trafford after a less-than-impressive start to the season.
United have won just twice this season, a lucky 1-0 win to Wolves on the opening day and a 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest.
Tottenham and Arsenal, though, looked levels above them after beating them with ease.
