Joe Thomas - Trickiest call of season so far
This is probably the trickiest call of Sean Dyche’s season so far and one that will split opinion, but which is a nice issue to have: presuming he sticks with one up top does he go with Beto or Dominic Calvert-Lewin?
For me, it’s Calvert-Lewin. He is Premier League proven, fit, and when he has been available he has been so influential to an Everton side built around him. I like all that I have seen from Beto so far but I think the shirt should be Calvert-Lewis’s to lose. I also think that is the best position from a squad building perspective as it seems the fairest way to start this competition to lead the line, with the incumbent getting first go.
From there, my team is pretty straightforward. Dwight McNeil comes in for James Garner and I’d be tempted to start him on the right wing and keep Arnaut Danjuma on the left.

This is because I think Danjuma has the better attributes to expose the right of Arsenal’s defence, a potential weak spot following the injury to Jurrien Timber, the club’s first-choice right-back.
My team (4-5-1): Pickford; Patterson, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Young; McNeil, Onana, Doucoure, Gueye, Danjuma; Calvert-Lewin.
Chris Beesley - Only one choice up front
By his own admission, Everton manager Sean Dyche has a welcome dilemma up front for the visit of Arsenal with two options vying to spearhead the attack.
