Brought in for his first Premier League start of the season, he had his work cut out against the dangerous Bukayo Saka, wasn’t to know the flag was up for offside when he made a goal-line clearance and while faced with a difficult assignment, stuck to his task.

Slide tackle clearance on Nketiah helped keep Arsenal at bay for a while and after a couple of loose passes early on, he looked more like his usual solid self.
