Aaron Ramsdale can’t be enjoying backing up David Raya, but that hasn’t stopped him loving s***housery.
The Arsenal shot-stopper is seemingly only no.1 on the back of his shirt after being surpassed by summer signing Raya in consecutive Premier League games, and also the Gunners return to the Champions League.
As a minor consolation prize, the England international returned in the Carabao Cup and helped his side to a 1-0 win.
However, the opposition wasn’t exactly the best for keeping Raya out of his mind, with the match being an away trip to the Spaniard’s former club Brentford.
Unsurprisingly, Bees fans made sure to remind Ramsdale of that, with chants of ‘you’re just a s*** David Raya’ heard behind his goal.
But rather than let things get to him, Ramsdale instead was seen winding up the home crowd at the Gtech Stadium.
Fan footage from the ground showed the 25-year-old collecting an easy shot from a corner, and before he’d even hit the deck he’d turned to face the crowd with a grin across his face.
Earlier in the match, Ramsdale made the save of the night, tipping a Yoane Wissa effort onto his post with his fingertips, showcasing his exceptional reactions.
But so fast was the goalkeeper, he even appeared to have time to give it to the crowd with the ball still in play.
Arsenal were already a goal up by that point after Reiss Nelson capitalised on a defensive error, and they held onto that lead to set up a last 16 clash against West Ham.
