‘It’s a great feeling’ – Harry delighted to see Tottenham fans happy amid strong start under Ange Postecoglou

Harry Kane says he’s delighted for Tottenham fans amid his former club’s impressive start to the season under Ange Postecoglou.

The England captain left the north London club last month, signing for German champions Bayern Munich in a deal that could rise to £100million as he looks to end his long wait for major silverware.

Kane has made a promising start to life in Bavaria, netting four goals in his first five games. And whilst he is already impressing in the Bundesliga, the 30-year-old has been blown away by his former side’s start to their Premier League campaign.

Spurs sit pretty in second place, two points off leaders Manchester City ahead of this weekend’s much-anticipatednorth London derby against Arsenal and Kane admits he’s been keeping tabs on his former teammates.

“In terms of Tottenham, yeah fantastic start,” he told reporters on Tuesday. “I’m always keeping an eye on them. I think I’ll always keep an eye on Tottenham for the rest of my life.

“I’m really happy to see the team playing the way they are and of course to see their fans happy as well is a great feeling.

“I’m sure they’ll be excited to keep that up. They have a massive game coming up so yeah for sure, I’ll see how they get on over the course of the season.”

Kane was speaking ahead of his Champions League debut for Bayern Munich on Wednesday against familiar opposition in Manchester United, live on talkSPORT.

The striker was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer but United were priced out of the deal and turned their attention to Rasmus Hojlund, who joined in a £72m deal.

Kane will be hoping to improve his goalscoring record against the Red Devils having netted just five times against them in his career.

And judging by United’s poor
