Conor McGregor has bizarrely found himself at the centre of Kylian Mbappe’s beef with a fellow footballer.
Terem Moffi posted a clip from one of the UFC superstar’s famous speeches to troll Mbappe after helping Nice pick up a shock 3-2 over Paris Saint-Germain on Friday.
The Nigeria international scored twice and lifted his shirt high in the air after netting the winner at the Parc des Princes – Mbappe wasn’t happy about his over-elaborate celebration.
Mbappe had to be held back by his teammates as he tried to confront Moffi who he reportedly called a ‘nobody’ after uncharacteristically losing his cool.
Two days later, the matchwinner took to social media to continue celebrating.
Moffi shared several pictures from the game to Instagram, alongside the caption ‘Mr. Nobody’ which was a no-so-subtle dig at the biggest star in French football.
Alongside pictures, the 24-year-old posted a clip taken from McGregor’s lightweight title win over Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in November 2016.
After becoming the first dual-weight champion in company history, ‘Notorious’ pretended to issue an apology for his pre-fight behaviour before snapping back into character to deliver a famous speech.
McGregor said: “I’ve spent a lot of time, Joe, slating everyone in the company. Backstage, I’m starting fights with everybody.
«I’ve ridiculed everyone on the roster, and I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, I’d like to take this chance to apologise… to absolutely nobody! The double champ does what the f*** he wants!”
Moffi will look to continue his goalscoring form when he and his teammates travel to the Principality to take on AS Monaco this Friday.
Meanwhile, Mbappe and PSG will have the chance to exercise some demons when they face German side
