Liverpool head into their Europa League campaign in good form having won their last four Premier League matches.
Jurgen Klopp's side have picked up 13 points out of a possible 15 in the league so far, which sees the Reds sit third in the table, just two points off the league leaders in what has been a major improvement on their disappointing campaign last season.
The Merseyside club endured a tough time last season, stuck down in the lower end of the top half of the table for the majority of the season before putting a good run together at the back end of the campaign but only managing a fifth placed finish.
This season is the club's first in the Europa League since 2015-16 when Klopp took over the club in October of that campaign, and are strong favourites to go all the way and lift the trophy in Dublin in May.
LASK are Liverpool's first opposition in this season's Europa League, and the Austrian side welcome the six time champions of Europe to Linz, despite having been playing second division football as recently as 2017.
Their third place finish in the Austrian Bundesliga last season saw them reach the qualifying rounds for this season's Europa League, in which the defeated the Bosnian side Zrinjski Mostar over two legs to seal their group
