John Barnes believes Wolves star Pedro Neto suits Liverpool "down to the ground" and has similarities to Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian is out of contract in less than 18 months and has been subject to intense speculation over his future at Anfield following interest from Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad. Salah, who will turn 32 in June, is currently out of action through injury but has been irreplaceable for the Reds since signing in 2017.
Neto has been a player that has been mooted with a move to Liverpool previously, but is contracted at Molineux for three more years following his bumper extension in 2022. With interest circulating around Salah, Neto has been mooted as a possible replacement for the Egyptian after several standout moments for Wolves.

Injuries have plagued his development in recent months but he has managed ten goal contributions (two goals and eight assists) in 14 Premier League matches, so far this term. Neto has received a glittering review from Barnes who believes the 23-year-old has similarities to the 204-goal Liverpool icon.
"I’ve always liked Pedro Neto. Always liked him. If you’re looking for the profile of a winger that would suit Liverpool down to the ground, that winger is Pedro Neto," he told mybettingsites.
“He would suit Liverpool more than any other club. He’s direct, he’s quick. He’s a bit like Mo Salah where he’s direct and always plays well.
“He’s had his injury issues which have held him back but you can see that he can play for any of the top clubs.”
