A supercomputer has given a verdict on Liverpool’s title chances after the team’s comeback victory over Wolves.
Jurgen Klopp’s side looked to be heading for a defeat after a dismal opening 45 minutes at Molineux saw the Reds fall behind. The Liverpool boss made a half-time switch, introducing Luis Diaz, and helped get the team back on level terms through Cody Gakpo, shortly after the restart.
The Reds continued to probe for a winner but were forced to wait until the 85th minute for Andy Robertson to finish off a passing move with Mohamed Salah. The team extended their lead in added time as Harvey Elliott’s shot found its way past Jose Sa, via a deflection off Wolves defender Hugo Bueno.
It was Liverpool’s fourth victory in five games and saw the team briefly top the Premier League table before Manchester City restored their three-point lead. Following the weekend’s results, Bettingexpert’s BETSiE supercomputer has updated its predictions for the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
