Jurgen Klopp will be hopeful of a promising start to life back in Europe's second-tier competition as he aims to secure the only trophy missing during his Anfield reign.

On a transfer front, Liverpool are said to be in 'advanced talks' for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie. The Ecuador international was a player Klopp's side were linked with during the summer window, though it remains to be seen whether or not this reported interest develops into anything more serious in January.
