Manchester United are keeping a keen eye on Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnbary, according to reports.
The attacker is due to face United in Wednesday’s Champions League group stage opener having yet to score in four outings this term. The 28-year-old signed a fresh deal that keeps in Bavaria until 2026 only last year.
However, Fichajes says United could pull together a £52m bid for Gnabry as they look to strengthen their right wing. Jadon Sancho’s future is up in the air amid his fall-out with Erik ten Hag while Antony has not lived up to his £85m price tag since his arrival.
The report says Ten Hag is an admirer of Gnabry, who recorded 17 goals and 12 assists in 47 matches last season, and that the United hierarchy match the manager’s enthusiasm for the player. The Reds could look to pounce on the fact that Gnbary will only have two years left on his contract next summer in the hope Bayern look for a return on their man.

Meanwhile, Fichajes says United also hold an interest in Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez. The 28-year-old has only played 30 minutes of football this season after missing the first three matches of the campaign with a knee injury.
However, the centre-back is in the final two years of his contract, meaning that he could be available for a cut-price next summer. Gimenez is apparently open to the idea of an exit, as are his club amid the possibility he slips down the pecking order this season. The 81-cap Uruguay star played 36 matches last season although many of them came amid the absence of first-choice defender Stefan Savic.
