Having swept aside Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, Erik ten Hag and his side have, now, been drawn against Newcastle United in the fourth round. The draw was held on Wednesday night after Newcastle sent Manchester City packing with a 1-0 win at St. James' Park.
United overcame Newcastle on their way to winning the competition last season. They will lock horns, once again, at Old Trafford on the week commencing Monday, October 30.
With one eye on the January window, meanwhile, United continue to be linked with mid-season moves, as Donny van de Beek reportedly attracts interest from Spanish team Villarreal. United have, also, been credited with interest in Germany forward Serge Gnabry, who played and scored against the club for Bayern Munich last week.
