Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could be without three key players on Sunday when his side host Tottenham Hotspur to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in what will be the first North London Derby of the season. Both the Gunners and Spurs are so far unbeaten in the Premier League this term, having accrued 13 points from their first five league outings.
Holding midfielder Thomas Partey and versatile defender Jurrien Timber will miss out through injury this weekend as they continue their respective rehabilitation processes. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether or not left-winger Gabriel Martinelli will be fit for selection against Ange Postecoglou's side after the Brazilian international missed the 4-0 victory against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
With all of that being said, football.london has taken a look at the latest Arsenal injury news.
Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has suffered a hamstring injury during the win against Everton. The Brazilian winger looks set for a period of time on the sidelines with Champions League football returning to the Emirates Stadium this week — before the North London Derby against Tottenham this weekend.
Martinelli missed training on Friday ahead of the Premier League clash against Spurs at the Emirates Stadium.
What Mikel Arteta has said: «With Gaby we are still assessing him and so let’s see whether he can make the game or not.»
When asked if Martinelli was ruled out of the game against the Lillywhites, the Spaniard simply replied: «No.»
