Jonas Eidevall has hailed Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s bravery as well as the culture he has implemented at the Gunners.
Both managers have spoken regularly in the last year about the 'one-club mentality' which is in place, with the women’s team now playing regularly at the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta was present at the Emirates last season to watch Eidevall’s Arsenal Women side beat Bayern Munich in the Women’s Champions League and the duo both signed new contracts together last year.
There is a real respect between the two managers and in Arteta’s case, he has brought real positivity back to the north London club after guiding the Gunners to a second-place finish in the Premier League last season.
Eidevall has been impressed with Arteta’s leadership and the inclusivity running throughout the club has made the Swede even more inspired to win silverware for Arsenal Women this season.
Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT, Eidevall said: “This is a part that’s obviously really hard for me to answer on because I only get a glimpse into Mikel’s life and into Mikel’s work as well.
“What really strikes you with the way that he works is his clarity, his braveness, his fearlessness in approaching ideas, but also, how he generates buy-in by everyone around him [including] players and staff and wanting to realise that vision. That’s the signs of a really strong leader.
“We speak about a one-club mentality, but we also have to differentiate sometimes between words and actions and that’s what I really feel stands out with Arsenal as a club.
“I feel the commitment in actions from so many people around the women’s team, but also around the men’s first-team [and] the men’s academy.
“It just makes me feel really proud of being a part of the club
