But did anyone believe that? I certainly didn't. Everything he has said the opposite has happened.
It is no big shock to me that now he has decided to sell up his 94-point-whatever percent shares in Everton, but the timing is totally off and when you find out who he has agreed to sell our beloved football club to, it doesn't sit right.

But they are a young company that haven't been around for many years. When it first broke I was like, 'right, it is what it is', and we've been there before with takeovers where they can lift the club and the players.
I've been at Manchester City when it got took over a couple of times, I've been at Rangers and Leicester when the money's come in, it is an exciting time for players as you're finally going to get a plan of an owner to come in and go, 'this is what I want to do, this is what I want to achieve, and we want you to be a part of it'.
