Manchester United's turbulent season continued at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night as they were beaten 4-3 by Bayern Munich, with Harry Kane stealing the show.
Erik ten Hag's side have already lost three times in the Premier League from five games in a shaky start on and off the pitch that has seen them slump to 13th place.
Though United managed to reduce the deficit in Munich, they found themselves 3-1 and 4-2 down at points and their frailties were fully exposed by Thomas Tuchel's men as Leroy Sane netted the opener, before Serge Gnabry added a second in the first half.
Rasmus Hojlund pulled one back before Kane made it 3-1 from the spot. Casemiro would score twice - either side of Mathys Tel's strike to give Bayern a fourth - as United were outclassed on the night.
Mail Sport's Nathan Salt was on hand to hand out ratings to both sets of players after the seven-goal thriller in Munich.
BAYERN (4-2-3-1)
Sven Ulreich - 7
Huge save five minutes in from Christian Eriksen set the tone for the defence and his attacking team-mates soon took the heat off. The fact nobody is talking about Manuel Neuer’s absence speaks volumes.
Konrad Laimer - 6
Struggled in parts. Rashford and Reguilon both looked to have the beating of him and United’s early joy all come down his side. Looked every bit the midfielder playing at right back.
Dayot Upamecano - 6.5
A man mountain that swallowed Rasmus Hojlund. Had a couple of early scares when United started on top but soon settled and bossed the game alongside Kim.
Kim Min-jae - 7
Of interest to Manchester United in the summer, the former Napoli man is a real leader at the back and was constantly barking at those in front of him. No surprise he’s high up the dressing room hierarchy.
Alphonso Davies - 6.5
