Newcastle are considering a £52million swoop for West Ham star Lucas Paqueta in January, according to reports.
The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City this summer, with City launching a £70million offer to prise him away from east London.
But the bid was rejected by the Hammers despite Paqueta telling the club he would like to move to the Etihad.
City then dropped their interest after Paqueta became the subject of an FA betting investigation and instead signed Matheus Nunes from Wolves.
The Daily Mail are now reporting that the investigation hasn’t deterred Newcastle, who could line up a bid in the next window.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes that next summer will see Mohamed Salah leave Anfield.
Salah was heavily linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia side Al Ittihad this summer but the Reds held firm to retain their top goalscorer.
And speaking to talkSPORT, Carragher said: “I think the feeling amongst most Liverpool supporters is that we’ve maybe got him for one more season.
