Socceroos midfielder Connor Metcalfe almost burst a hole in the net thanks to his long-range pile-driver for FC St Pauli.
Metcalfe let rip with a first-time rocket from distance which flew into the top-left corner of the net as St Pauli hammered Holstein Kiel 5-1 in their 2. Bundesliga fixture.
The Aussie would go on to notch an assist in an impressive display.
In the Netherlands, Garang Kuol scored his first goal for FC Volendam with a curled effort from the edge of the box.
Kuol held his run and found himself in plenty of space where he received the ball before shifting it onto his right foot and bending it into the top corner to give Volendam a 1-0 lead over Fortuna Sittard.
Unfortunately Volendam couldn’t hold on as their rivals went on to win 3-1.
The theme of wondergoals from the Aussie contingent continued with Matildas star Katrina Gorry.
A miscued clearance from Uppsala’s goalkeeper went straight to Gorry, who subsequently unleashed a swerving effort into the top right corner.
Gorry’s goal helped Vittsjo GIK to a 2-1 win over Uppsala.
Although it wasn’t quite as spectacular as the previous three goals, Caleb Watts scored the matchwinning goal for League
