Former Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni expects an exciting derby this weekend against AC Milan.
Stramaccioni rates Inter as the superior team, though the Rossoneri are "closing the gap".
He told Gazzetta.it: "Inter is in my heart and will always be.
"It's a great derby, the result is open and we hope that neither of the two lose. It's a good derby in a good championship, which I think will be fascinating and compelling even in a market that without shocks and millions has given charm and balance.
"Yes (Milan have reduced the gap), he has a lot of enthusiasm and plays proactive football. He surprised me, I complimented (Stefano) Pioli on the quality of the game with so many new players in a short time. It's not trivial, Pioli is offering a technical-tactical innovation with the clearing from the bottom, it's a really good AC Milan who are passionate about the championship.
"Inter have more certainties and emerge consolidated from the Champions League final that they unfortunately lost, which however gave them awareness and maturity. Then there's the pitch, the football played, the derby on Saturday who will give his response."
