Arsenal spent heavily during this year's summer transfer window, splashing over £200million to bring in Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz on permanent deals. Goalkeeper David Raya was also recruited from Brentford on loan, with the Gunners possessing the option to sign the Spanish international on a permanent basis for £27million.
The next step for Mikel Arteta's side is of course to try and win the Premier League title, something that the north Londoners have failed to do since the 2003/04 campaign. Further recruitment may very well be needed to do so, especially when you consider Manchester City's wealth of options all over the pitch.

But perhaps Arsenal have the faintest of hopes of convincing the PSG frontman to make the move to the Emirates Stadium instead. The lure of the Premier League is of course unparalleled, particularly financially.
The Gunners also have a proud history with French players, with the likes of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and now William Saliba all donning their famous red shirt. It is probably just a pipe dream but the north Londoners would be silly to not throw their hat in the ring in the race to land Mbappe for free next summer.
