'Special' Solomon signing
Ex-Chelsea manager Avram Grant has hailed Tottenham winger Manor Solomon as 'special' after his move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer transfer window. The Israel international became the 17th player from his country to play in the Premier League when he arrived at Fulham from Shakhtar Donetsk on loan last season.
After impressing under Marco Silva at Craven Cottage, Ange Postecoglou's side swooped in to sign him as a free agent over the summer and he's already flourished under the Australian. Making his debut in the 2-0 win over Manchester United, the 24-year-old notched two assists in the 5-2 thrashing of Burnley and has been a key part of the great start to the 2023/24 campaign.
Earlier this week, Grant, who currently manages the Zambia national team, highlighted his compatriot Solomon whom he revealed he spoke to about his move to Spurs, and believes is one of the best wingers in the Premier League. «Manor is a special player; he was excellent at Fulham,» Grant told Israeli news outlet Ynet.
«I spoke with him, and he’s thrilled to be at Tottenham; he has improved his killer instinct. What sets him apart is his amazing one-on-one ability; he’s among the best,» he continued. «He is a Premier League player in every sense.»
Ange Postecoglou words
Three simple words became synonymous with Ange Postecoglou during his time as Celtic boss as he led the Bhoys to trophy after trophy. «We never stop» was a phrase he said regularly and it summed Celtic up to a tee as they dominated in Scotland.
Those three words can be used to describe the late show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Having claimed theRead on football.london
