Mason Greenwood will be included in EA FC 24 as he continues his return to football — but he won't be in their popular Ultimate Team!
Greenwood has been absent from the EA Sports franchise since he was removed from FIFA 22 following his arrest in January last year.
The 21-year-old was taken out of active squads and was absent from offline modes including kick-off, as well as multiplayer matches.
Greenwood was also taken out of Ultimate Team (FUT) packs and Ultimate Draft and didn't appear at all in FIFA 23.
But he has since made a comeback since charges of attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service in February.
United announced in August that he would leave and he eventually joined Getafe on loan on deadline day — making his debut in their 3-2 win over Osasuna.
As a result, EA confirmed that Greenwood would return to their latest game — as exclusively revealed in a statement to talkSPORT.com — however, he wouldn't be included in Ultimate Team.
Greenwood will not be available in Ultimate Team as he wasn't part of an active squad at the time of EA's cut-off date for final team and player data.
The forward had been suspended by Man United since his initial arrest in January 2022, only returning when his loan switch to Getafe was confirmed on deadline day.
A statement released to talkSPORT.com earlier this month read: «EA SPORTS FC 24 authentically reflects the active rosters of teams and clubs in the real world of football.
