Chelsea are without the Premier League's most expensive player of all time as Moises Caicedo was left out of Mauricio Pochettino's matchday squad against Bournemouth. The Blues, who are seeking to get just their second win of the league season, have had their squad decimated by injuries.
Caicedo and England Under-21 star Noni Madueke were both left out of the squad to face the Cherries, as was back-up left-back Marc Cucurella. To make up for a serious lack of senior players readily available, academy duo Ronnie Stutter and Alex Matos were added to the squad.
Having had a long journey back from an already gruelling international break schedule with Ecuador,Caicedo has been left out after picking up a knee issue whilst away. Enzo Fernandez, who was also stretched during his fixtures with Argentina, was deemed fit enough to start.
