You and your pet could win a 'wedding' and a Red Letter Days voucher, courtesy of Jollyes

Fast-growing pet retailer Jollyes is set to officially open its new flagship store in Widnes at 10am on Saturday, September 30, 2023 - and you could be part of the ceremony, which promises to be unlike any other.

Because Jollyes know how much people love their pets, it’s hosting a competition* where one lucky winner will get the chance to play a starring role at the opening of the new store at Widnes Shopping Park, by being 'married' to their pet in a full-works wedding ceremony.

With an organist, red carpet, flowers, and the exchange of rubber rings, a local pet owner and their beloved dog can walk down the aisle to the sound of 'Here Barks the Bride'.

Plus, the winner will also be presented with a Red Letter Days voucher worth £150, courtesy of Jollyes - which can be either put towards a 'doggymoon' holiday with their pet to celebrate their puppy love for each other, or used at the winner's discretion for any of the other experiences available**.

The 'wedding' will mark the opening of Jollyes 95th UK store - and a flagship store at that. On the day, there’ll be 100 goodie bags for the first 100 'wedding’ guests', with a mixture of cat and dog products inside.

Customers will be able to spin Jollyes’ famous Jollyes wheel of fur-tune, with prizes for everyone.

The Mayor and Consort of Halton, Cllr. Val Hill and Cllr. Stan Hill, will officially open the store at 10am, to celebrate the winner and their pooch, and present the pair with their voucher.

Jollyes has also partnered with Carla Lane Animals in Need, a Liverpool-based rescue charity established over three decades ago which rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes hundreds of dogs and cats every year. The charity will be at the store fundraising and raising awareness on
