Yves Bissouma has opened up on the togetherness of the Tottenham squad under Ange Postecoglou ahead of the North London Derby against Arsenal. Spurs are unbeaten from their opening five Premier League games, with four wins and one draw, but that streak will face its biggest test yet as the Lilywhites head to Emirates Stadium this Sunday.
Like Tottenham, the Gunners are also unbeaten in the league and the task facing Spurs only increases considering their last league win against their bitter rivals away from home came in 2010. In recent years it's fair to say Arsenal edge the head-to-head record and given their league double last season, certainly hold the bragging rights.
However, it will be a very different Tottenham team that appear on the pitch at the weekend. Captain Son Heung-min is really the only player with a wealth of experience in the derby with Postecoglou's expected starting XI consisting of at least four new arrivals.
Alongside the major squad and managerial change, a new style of play has also arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Postecoglou insisting his team play out from the back, attack the opposition and dominate the ball. Filling those three requirements against a team like Arsenal could prove to be difficult, however Postecoglou has shown no sign that his tactics will change drastically.
«Well, there is no other reason that we play this football than to be successful, so if I didn't think we would be successful I wouldn't play it,» Postecoglou replied when asked if he could play his style of football against Arsenal. «From my perspective, I have often said I don't set up my teams to play football that is nice to watch.
