Even though the title has been out for almost a decade now, people still come out and boast their impressive settlement designs to this day. Hangman's Alley is not as expansive as the other settlements in Fallout 4, but its proximity to Diamond City makes it a good spot to hunker down. Hangmen's Alley also comes with a Weapons Workbench and a Cooking Station.
If you need anything to build, a quick visit to Diamond City should be enough to get most supplies. However, the limited build space you get in Hangman's Alley makes it 10th on our list. The building area is very small and is littered with junk some of which is immovable. This might not appeal to those who like a clean settlement.
The Red Rocket Truck Stop is an excellent alternative to the Sanctuary settlement. It comes with most of the workbenches found in Sanctuary and works perfectly if you're trying to avoid Preston Garvey. This settlement also has a pretty good roof that is perfect for building turrets.
Since the roof can only be accessed from inside the settlement, invaders and other creatures will have a tough time dealing with the turrets on top. However, the Red Rocket Truck Stop is a little small and doesn't have a lot of flat surfaces for building. You also can't build water purifiers in the area.
