A rail ticket between two major Scandinavian cities can double your holiday experience for a mere few pounds.
Travellers can rail nearly anywhere across Europe with relative ease but it will take a few hours to get to your destination, especially if you're travelling between countries.
Luckily, Denmark's capital city Copenhagen sits at the far edge of its perimeter, connected to Sweden's Malmö via a handy rail system.

Copenhagen is a haven for city breakers who like to stay on their feet. The beautifully curated city boasts endless cafés, art galleries, interior design and much more. It has all the hustle and bustle of a major city capital but on a more relaxed note, making it feel like a cosy getaway beside the sea.
Malmö is the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest host city and will cater to hundreds of thousands of people across the summer, with a stacked festival programme welcoming fans and general visitors alike. No matter which city you fly into, the other is only 45 minutes away by train.
Travel operator Omio provides tickets for as low as £6 with journeys available until midnight. If you're travelling soon, specifically for Eurovision, transport service Skånetrafiken is offering unlimited rail passes for contest week (May 5-12) between the cities for £25.76, with journeys available regularly throughout the day and every hour after midnight.
