Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer has offered their support to Liverpool star Luis Diaz after his parents were kidnapped in Colombia over the weekend.
On Saturday, the mother and father of the Colombia international were kidnapped in Barrancas after they were approached by a gang on motorcycles, according to local outlet Semana. As a result, the 26-year-old missed the Reds' 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest at Anfield.
Cilenis Marulanda, the player's mother, was rescued, but his father, Luis Manuel Diaz, remains missing. Colombia's national police have announced a payment of £40,000 for any information leading to Diaz's father's rescue.
