Andre Onana faces first test on Manchester United training day in New Jersey

Andre Onana flew Aer Lingus from Manchester Airport, a sure sign the Glazer family are still Manchester United's bursars.

That said, Aer Lingus got us from Manchester to JFK smoothly on Tuesday whereas colleagues on an earlier flight with a different airline were rerouted to Boston. So perhaps there was some method behind United's itinerary for their new 'keeper.

Onana is now officially a United player. His flight on Tuesday evening was cancelled, which prevented Onana from boarding the same plane from Manchester as his new teammates on Wednesday. It is still a bonus United will have him in New Jersey ahead of their first tour game.

Training will be open to the media for 15 minutes on Friday and most eyes will be trailed on Onana, even if it is just him handling drop-kicks from goalkeeper coach Richard Hartis. It will be fascinating to see how Onana settles in and then performs once the competitive season starts.
