Former Premier League stars Joe Cole and Joleon Lescott believe that Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham made a big mistake in letting go of captain Harry Kane in the summer transfer window as the side fell to their second consecutive defeat.

Having scored at least 24 goals in all competitions over his last nine seasons as a professional, Kane has already netted 21 for Bayern in 16 appearances.
But despite being a huge loss for Postecoglou's side, they marched on without him, claiming eight wins from their opening 10 matches and sitting atop the league table for the past few weeks. However, a dramatic 4-1 defeat to rivals Chelsea which saw Cristian Romero and Destiney Udogie sent off and James Maddison and Mickey Van de Ven suffered long-term injuries has meant a weakened side travelled to face Wolves this afternoon.
Despite an early breakthrough from Brennan Johnson, late goals from Pablo Sarabia and Mario Lemina meant a second straight loss for Postecoglou in British football — the first time that's happened in four years. However, ex-Wolves defender Lescott believes that the blow of losing Kane was too much for them this season.
