Brighton & Hove Albion's Ansu Fati will be out for three months with a muscle injury he suffered a few weeks ago against Nottingham Forest.
The Spain international limped off and, although it initially appeared that the injury would not be that serious, Roberto de Zerbi confirmed that he will be sidelined until March.
"The news about Ansu Fati is that he will need three months to be back from injury. It's very bad news for us because he was playing better, he was understanding our idea better. I feel sorry for him and for the team because now we don't have him, we don't have Welbeck and we don't have Enciso either," said the Italian coach.
Fati joined Brighton on loan from Barcelona in the summer. The English side are paying 80 per cent of the Spaniard's contract, around eight million euros.
