Forced to withdraw from the upcoming friendlies against Germany and Chile, Antoine Griezmann’s (32) incredible run of matches in Bleu has come to an end.
Suffering with a sprained right ankle, Griezmann played through the pain as Atletico Madrid knocked Inter Milan out of the UEFA Champions League last week, however, he was only fit enough to come off the bench against Barcelona at the weekend. Despite his injury, Griezmann still travelled to Clairefontaine on Monday in the hope of playing an incredible 85th match in a row for Les Bleus.
After 84 consecutive games for France, Antoine Griezmann's record run ends there…
With an injured ankle, Grizi is replaced by Matteo Guendouzi.
Get well soon, Antoine
