Antony's Coventry antics criticised by s***house king Neal Maupay
Manchester United winger Antony has come under further fire for his taunting of Coventry City, with Brentford windup merchant Neal Maupay even calling him out.
Antony has so far failed to justify the £82m fee United paid to Ajax to sign him back in the summer of 2022. So far this season, he has contributed only two goals and two assists across 34 matches in all competitions, with just one assist and zero goals in his 25 Premier League games.
The Brazil international was criticised for his antics in the aftermath of United's FA Cup semi-final victory against Championship side Coventry. Antony came on as a substitute with the Red Devils 3-0 up but performed poorly as they were pulled back to 3-3 and only prevailed via a penalty shootout.
After Rasmus Hojlund scored the winning spot-kick, only four United players went to celebrate immediately — Hojlund himself, Andre Onana, Christian Eriksen and Antony, who taunted and goaded Coventry's heartbroken players on his way up the pitch.
Antony's classless actions received widespread condemnation from across the world of football, with Maupay — known for his penchant to try and rattle opposition players — taking to social media to criticise him.
