Bournemouth have triggered the £20million relegation release clause in Tyler Adams’ Leeds United contract, according to reports.
Adams is one of many players who agreed to include a relegation release clause in their Whites contract and he is one of the last players to earn a move despite being the best of the bunch.
His stellar performances for the Elland Road outfit were not enough to keep them in the Premier League, unfortunately for them.
The United States captain has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs this summer and was very close to joining Chelsea last week.
The Blues were ready to pay £20m for Adams but pulled out of the deal at the last minute.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side decided to put the money towards the signings of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia instead.
Chelsea have since confirmed the addition of Caicedo and a report on Monday night claimed that the latter has ‘decided’ to join the Blues over Liverpool.
With the Blues no longer in the market for a defensive midfielder having agreed to sign both players, Adams has been left in limbo.
A move to Liverpool makes a great deal of sense, just because. However, it does not appear the Reds are overly keen.
Adams has been linked with a move to Brighton, who have obviously just sold Caicedo, but it appears Bournemouth have emerged as a shock destination for the American international.
TEAMtalk reported on Monday evening that Bournemouth ‘met the release clause’ to sign Adams from Leeds.
The news was confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who says Adams is “keen on the move”.
