Arsenal and Chelsea complete scouting mission for 'the next William Saliba' in clear transfer plan

Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly sent scouts to watch Leny Yoro in action during Lille's recent defeat against Aston Villa, with Manchester United also said to be keeping a close eye on the defender. According to HITC, representatives from both London clubs were present at Villa Park for the Europa Conference League clash, which saw Unai Emery's side emerge victorious with a 2-1 win.

The Premier League sides were reportedly keen to seize the opportunity to observe Yoro in person. The 18-year-old, who is considered one of Europe's most promising defenders, is expected to attract interest from top clubs across the continent this summer.

Yoro has less than 18 months remaining on his current contract with Lille, and the French club are reportedly trying to secure him on a longer deal. However, they've so far been unsuccessful, leading to increased speculation about a potential exit at the end of the season.

But Arsenal and Chelsea aren't the only ones monitoring Yoro's situation — Manchester United have also been linked with the versatile defender. Earlier this year, HITC reported that Yoro was on the radar for Erik ten Hag's side, whilst Real Madrid are also known admirers.

Yoro made his debut in Lille's first-team at the start of this year and has since been a regular feature, missing only two league games this season.The youngster has proven to be a valuable asset for Lille manager Paulo Fonseca, having started and played the full 90 minutes in 25 of his 27 Ligue 1 appearances, reports the Express.
