Arsenal have dropped a triple team news hint ahead of their Carabao Cup third round clash against Brentford this evening. The Gunners will take on Thomas Frank's side at the G-tech Community Stadium — but are set to be without a few key players.
Declan Rice was taken off at half-time against Tottenham with a back injury. Despite having tape wrapped around his calf — suggesting he had sustained a muscle injury — Mikel Arteta revealed it was in fact Rice's back that had a problem.
Bukayo Saka was also taken off against Spurs, with the 22-year-old in severe pain after taking a knock on his foot during the dying embers of the game. This is not thought to be anything serious though, and the England winger is recovering, though it is unlikely he will be risked against Brentford.
Thomas Partey, Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are also set to be unavailable for the Carabao Cup tie on Wednesday evening as they recover from their own injury problems. Arteta will need to rotate his squad in what could be a heavily changed Arsenal starting XI against Brentford.
