Arsenal's William Saliba withdraws from France squad with injury after Man City win
Arsenal defender William Saliba has been forced to pull out of the France national team for the upcoming international break, it has been confirmed.
The centre-back played the full 90 minutes in the Gunners' 1-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday. Saliba played a key part in the historic win with his colossal display against Erling Haaland.
Saliba had been named in Didier Deschamps' squad for this month's European Championships qualifier against the Netherlands and friendly with Scotland. However, the French Football Federation have confirmed the 22-year-old has been replaced by OGC Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo.
«Todibo replaces William Saliba. The Nice defender was called in by Didier Deschamps to replace the Arsenal defender, who was injured in his right big toe,» the Equipe de France X account announced.
