Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has confirmed that her beloved father was not happy following her celebration after scoring against Australia at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Barcelona Femeni forward came off the bench to score what eventually proved to be the winner in Nigeria’s 3-2 win over the co-host nation.
She proceeded on a wild celebration, pulling off her shirt as she celebrated the crucial goal with her teammates.
That sparked mixed reactions back home, with many criticising her being of the Islamic faith. The striker then disclosed that her father would not have been happy with her.
