Aston Villa face Brentford in their final Premier League Summer Series friendly Stateside in Maryland this afternoon.
Unai Emery’s side will be crowned winners of this year's tournament if they beat Brentford and at least match Chelsea's margin of victory over Fulham. The Blues play after Villa's match with Brentford at the FedExField, which holds more than 67,000 supporters.
Villa kick-off at midday out here in the USA, that's 5pm UK time, before flying home next week ahead of two more friendlies in the lead up to their Premier League campaign, which kicks-off at St James' Park against Newcastle United on Saturday, August 12. Lazio face Villa at the Bescot on Thursday, before Emery's first-team head out to Spain to play Valencia on Saturday.
This afternoon, Villa will be without Aaron Ramsey, who picked up an injury on tour and will miss the next two weeks. Meanwhile, Emi Buendia will be assessed before kick-off after missing training after feeling some discomfort.
Brentford have lost both of their Premier League Summer Series friendlies, against Fulham and Brighton. The Bees drew 1-1 with Boreham Wood in their first friendly of the summer earlier this month.
