Atletico Madrid are set to lose multiple defenders in the summer. Alonso will leave Barcelona at the end of the season as a free agent, with the decision to not offer a new contract having already been made. Atleti have moved quickly to snap him up, and barring any last minute hitches, he will be Diego Simeone’s first signing of the transfer window, as reported by Ruben Uria.
