Bayern Munich 'cancel flight' to meet Daniel Levy sparking Harry Kane Tottenham transfer theory

Harry Kane may be making the move to Germany to Bayern Munich this summer but according to reports in Germany a flight bringing Bayern bosses to London for talks was cancelled

Plenty of people behind the scenes whether they be currently or previously connected to the German club have spoken out about the transfer saga, irking the Tottenham hierarchy.

Spurs do not want to lose their all-time top goalscorer, but do face the prospect of losing him on a free transfer next summer, with his current contract due to end in 2024, if they do not sell this summer.

Chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to even enter talks over selling the England skipper for less than £100million, but reports in Germany have suggested Bayern are growing "increasingly confident" of securing a deal for the frontman.

However, it appears that plan to travel to London has been scuppered. According to Bild, the flight due to take Bayern bosses from Germany to London was cancelled late on Thursday night for unknown reasons.

Bild report that a number of supporters got wind of the flight details and it was cancelled to avoid a media frenzy. Tottenham supporters will be hoping it means Bayern are ending their interest in the striker.

@Tottenham_Feed on Twitter wrote: "I wonder if Levy left a message to say £110m minimum…" However, @SpursArmyTweets did temper the news with a tweet reading: "A private jet took off from Munich Airport at 10:07am this morning and is landing in London very shortly - EUL5R on FlightRadar."

It remains to be seen what comes of any meeting or non-meeting, but the transfer saga rumbles on.
